Today I was working with my JtagIce mkII plugged on an XMega when suddendly I wasn't able to put a breakpoint on my code anymore.
I mean, I have breakpoints on the code, I changed one single line of code, recompiled, reloaded the object file on the AVR Studio and bang, no more breakpoint.
I can only put breakpoints on the disassembled code.
I tried to remove the single line of code I added, but nothing changed.
Powered off the target and the emulator, reboted windows, reloaded the COFF file, nothing, it's dead.
I have no optimization on the compiler and I tried three emulators, none works.
Any idea?
TIA

When you start debugging, do you get a break on main?
You could try to create a new project and copy the source files.

The problem was due to a wrong cof file
