Hi,
Today I could successfully replace my MAX232 with a HC-05 bluetooth module, it worked great but I have few issues with it.

I didn't change any thing on HC-05 using AT mode (rather i tried a lot but I couldn't make it enter AT mode, I will probably search about getting into AT more before I ask questions in this forum)

The mother board for my bluetooth stamp has 5 pins Vcc, Gnd, Tx, Rx and Key(Used for AT mode). Then there is a hotspot pad that is connected to reset of the stamp

I read that this module reset on power-on, but my device i need to hold the reset pad low for a moment and then the module is in search mode. then I have to disconnect the port and reconnect again.

Isn't there a way the moment I turn on my bot the bluetooth module connects to the com port

or at least i do not have to physically reset it every time. it just goes directly in search (or searchable, not sure) mode.

Thanks
K

The HC-05 should work just fine by itself.

Your PC will take a couple of seconds to initiate the link. After that, the HC-05 can talk immediately it powers up.

It probably defaults to 9600 baud. I find 9600 convenient. You can change it to a faster speed if you like.
