Hi Freaks,
I want to try the BLIPS bootloader from Steve.

I have a M48 and breadboard. On the PC side, I have a laptop with a USB port. I do have a USB to serial converter.

I have downloaded the BLIPS bootloader software from the projects section. I get the BLIPS4.0 GUI on my laptop.

I would like to use a 8MHz clock with 9600 baud.

I see there are two files to load from BLIPS: Flash file (hex format) and EEPROM file (.eep format)

Say I have two programs, I want to load the normal program in the application part of flash and the other program through the serial port when I press a switch.(I am going to keep this simple something like turning an LED on)

I already have the hex and the eep format for the normal program. How do I proceed from here? How do I setup my M48 bootloader section so that it knows how to execute my LED on program with a switch?

Thanks.

Also I am trying to modify the .asm file and noticed that there is no section (#ifdef _M48DEF_INC_) for the M48 AVR. Is there a newer version of the .asm file with this section?

Suggest you PM stevech

(but just to note that the 48 is unusual amongst 48/88/168/328 in that it can do SPM from any address - not just within the BLS (it doesn't have one) so it is likely to be treated differently in bootloader code)
