Hey,
We are trying a funny number displaying project, and would like to use a big screen(30 cm) but from what I can see already the prices range from 400 euros to 1500 euros! Does anyone have in mind a cheapest solution?
cheers,
Giannis

If you are only displaying numbers, you can build a big 7-segment display with regular LEDs.
If you really want a VGA display, 14" or 15" are dead cheap nowadays. You can probably do a deal with a local household recycling site and get old monitors / TVs for free / little money.
David.
Thanks David!
That florescent tube clock was way cool. Wonder if McHenry Illinois would like one of those
