Hi,

what's your opinion? What's the best (small pin count, low price, securest) reset circuit for micro controllers for slow rising power?

MAX809xx, ADI809xx power monitors in SC70 (2mm) are candidates. The Maxim version is expensive, the Analog Devices 2ndsource less so.
Or do you need smaller than SC70

Edit: On-Semi is also sourcing them
Edit2: For low cost and multifunction the LP2951 voltage regulator takes the cake.

If it's for an AVR.. use the internal BOD.

THe LP (if it is the fix voltage supply) is not possible, because I'm using a step down converter, which gives me already a stabilized power supply!

When using the BOD, where should I connect the reset pin? Via 10k to VCC? Directly? RC?

RC will do: 10k and C=2u2.
