I am having difficulties with this driver chip made by ST Microelectronics. It is possible to send commands via TWI or SPI and the chip generates its own LCD drive and bias voltages.

I am using TWI and this works fine to communicate. I can write at any position on the 96x40 pixel display and draw font characters or graphics.

However there are a host of other "features" that I would like to access. The data sheet is not very helpful.

Scrolling the display. Writing to the memory and revealing later. Improving the contrast of the display. Partial display.

Has anyone succeeded in understanding how to use these "features"? Help would be appreciated.
