I have a couple of ATZB-X0-256-3-C boards I would like to try.

I also have a sam4l XPlained pro - which the RF boards can plug into; the AVRStudio recognizes both of the boards.

I also have JTAG/ICE 3 programmer (which I use for all my xmega boards)

not that it matters, but also have a few other programmers I have used for the tiny and mega chips.

Now - how in the world do I get a program off my PC AVR Studio into the ATXB board? Thee seems to be haystacks of documents, but this particular needle seems to be a bit elusive to me.

thx

ATZB-X0-256-3-C has an MCU inside, so it is not very useful as an Xpro extension board.

The only way to get firmware into ATZB-X0-256-3-C installed on ATZB-X-233-XPRO is to use external JTAG programmer. J2 is a standard JTAG connector.

Ok - I have a jtag programmer connected.

I have the atzb-x0256-3-0-c boards.
I have lwmess 1.1.1

question 1

there is no project for the atxmega256a3u so there are no header files for these boards. - where do I get the headers files for the atxmega256a3u?

question 2

Is the lwMess have any asf support? If I go into a project for an atxmega256a3, I have sjupport for avr2025 and 2102 but nothing for lwmesh (I confess there I have little knowledge in the area) The links to the docs in the "asfWizard" are mostly broken.

Support for this MCU will be available in the next release. For now you either have to wait or do a port based on the atxmega128b1.

No, right now it is a standalone stack. You can probably use it with ASF if you create a project and add LwMesh files to that project. This takes some effort, but not undoable.

Is there any estimate on when this might be available. A rough estimate is ok -Are talking about days, or weeks or months?

I've sent it for a review yesterday. Usually that means 0.5-2 weeks delay, depending on the load of the reviewers.
