Hi,

I'm a newbie in AVR, and I would like to interface UART with the PC to send simple commands. I've found Interfacing with AVR UART article, but the example is just for polling. I would like to use interrupts instead.

Could someone point me to the right direction where to find this information??

Thanks

There are threads for both UART polling and UART interrupts in the tutorials forum.

The Board helps those that help themselves.

There're also some Application Notes released in the Atmel website ranging from basic UART communication to some more complicated application.

now i changed to mega32 to build a echo program with gcc. but the interrupt vectors in iom32.h are quite different from what the datasheet says. What is the _VECTOR(xx) statement stand for; address??

please disregard above msg. as I suspected, iom32.h definitions must be OK. I've found the bug in my program, and now mega32 is communicating OK with my PC. Hard lesson learned. thanks!
