Well, I have some of those items that you posted. They work well. If you already have those items that you've posted, I'd suggest that you read the manuals and try to do some experiments on your own to become familiar with what you have. Once you understand what it is that you've got, I give you some help along your journey.

Ah... sorry I missed that the schematic and code were yours, not just part of Lynxmotion!

I don't have one of those boards though so can't be of much help.

So if I want to pick up an item at xyz 000 and move it diagonally to location xyz 100 100 100, I need to move it like a 3d line draw in 170 little steps, right? So how do I know how many steps to move the wrist, elbow, forearm, fouriron, shoulder, kneebone, hipbone? What is this process called? Where does one learn about it?

You don't use steps as, this system is a 32 channel PWM controller for hobby servos.

I have the LynxMotion 6 DOF robot arm and have played with it using the software available from LynxMotion. The application software available from LynxMotion quite good!

I have a second 32 channel board that I have used to perform some experiments. The host controller was the STK500/STK501, using a Mega64. I haven't actually done anything with either the robot or the second controller yet, other then learn how to reliably communicate with them. This is a good choice as once reliable communications are established, its really nothing more then a stream of commands to control something.

To be honest, I would perfer to use the software GUI provided by LynxMotion for the robot arm as, it was easy to use and allows you to create scripts to control the robot arm any way you want to.

As for the second SSC-32 servo controller card, I was actually thinking of building a sophisticated environmental control system for my house. The SSC-32 controller would be used to control the floor dampers in the centrial heating/cooling system.
