AVR Programmer with FT2232

Has anybody started a programmer project with the FT2232 yet?

I had a short look on the FTDI web site and this chip looks interesting to get rid of the parallel port wigglers like the STK200.

I used the former FT232BM so far for other projects. They are well documentated and really easy to use.

Any comments, suggestions?

Maybe a new platform for the avrddude?

Hello, i'm interesed on this, did you get anywhere?
I'm starting a board and i would like to use ft2232 just like this.
I was reading that it might be connected to the avr jtag interface, did you tried something like this?

This thread is FIVE YEARS old - but Why pay for an FTDI chip anyway when you can do without:

(the mega48 version should only cost a few $/£).

If you really want an FTDI then perhaps the most famous FTDI based ISP programmer is this one:

The reason is that i have a leftover of 10 ft2232 from an old work :)
