There was an article about this in Embedded Systems Europe - with no contact details, although the article made it sound as though it was an official Atmel product.
Anyone know any more about it?

I too would be interested. I am struggling with the temptation to buy the TINI board from Dallas Semiconductor, but would love to have the benefits of an AVR, high speed A/D, etc.
I am not crazy about doing everything with Java and the Dallas Semiconductor products aren't supported by any sites nearly as cool as AVR freaks.
If your interested in embedded internet you might take a peak at rabbit semi conductor. They have a new part with the ethernet controller on die and the compiler that ships with the demo contains full source code for the tcpip stack, ftp and web servers (yes all that run on the 8-bit micro).
