I had been using AVR-32 Studio V1 on Windows XP for some time now to create Linux executables for my NGW100 board. Lately it would just hang while doing a build; I had to kill it with Task Manager.

I found the 2.1 version and downloaded it along with the 2.1.6 GNU toolchain. I uninstalled the V1 AVR-32 Studio and the 1.3.2 GNU toolchain and installed the new toolchain and AVR-32 Studio.

First, it would not convert my existing projects... said that the target was not available? If I try to create a new project I do not see a Linux Executable as an available project type option.

Before I start banging my head trying to figure out what's going on, has anybody had a similar experience ? What am I missing ?

Thank you for the information. You saved me from potential hours of frustration.

I still have the old version installer kicking around somewhere; I'll re-install it for now until I find the time and patience to wade into a Linux development environment.
