Hello, I'm testing the module ATZB-RF-233-1-C but I'm not sure that the output power is maximum possible, about 19dBm.

I have written several values in PHY_TX_PWR register, but it seems that output amplifier of the module is switch off, and only works with AT86RF233 output power (4dBm). Range is too short.

Documentation that I found does not explain too much. Can you help me?

Thanks

Solution is set bit PA_EXT_EN in register TRX_CTRL_1 to switch on the front end, and connect pin 33 (DIG4) with pin 38 (CPS) of the module to increase sensitivity.
