Both AVR Studio 3.53 and Gcc states they support ATtiny15 but when I build my tiny project the project output says ATtiny15 not supported by the C compiler.

If I set the device to ATtiny15L it isn't recognised at all.

Need a workaround for this as the ATtiny15L is the only tiny with builtin ADC and perfectly suited for this tiny project.

Hi Anders

AVRGCC doesn't support C compiler for at90s1200, attiny10, attiny11, attiny12, attiny15, attiny28, only assembler.

I don't know if it will soon support C compiles for these devices, I hope so, but I think not.

Have a nice day

Pippo

Recode in assembler? (OK, not very helpful, but it may be your quickest way of doing what you want.)

Thank you anyway. Checked IAR too. Same problem.
Have to code in assembler, pity...

there's always the imagecraft ICCtiny compiler. I've tried
the demo; it works...

What is the point? Its in the FAQ as was pointed out by Jorg in the other thread you needlessly referenced.

Aside from that, you answered to a thread that is 5 years old!

Edit: And the page you referenced is 3 years old.

anything the 15 does the 45 and the 85 will do better and the last time I went to buy at digikey they were even cheaper. If you have a working desigh then you can plug a 25/45/85 into it and run it in compatibility mode. There really isnt enough resource in the 15 to make c worthwhile.
