ATSAML21 Falsh verification failure.

Have been using this board for a while. All of a sudden Flashing from Atmel Studio 7 fails with the error.

"Verifying Flash...Failed! address=0x0000 expected=0x98 actual=0xff"

 

When i manually verify the content in flash, its all 0xFF.

With 'verify' disabled , programming seems to succeed but the flash content is still 0xFF.

 

Does it indicate a corruption/damage to flash itself ? or something to do with the tools.

Appreciate any help. Thank you.

FF is the erased state - so your Flash is not being programmed at all!
