Hello,

So i followed these tutorials:

http://www.jayconsystems.com/tutorial/atmerpt1/

http://www.jayconsystems.com/tutorial/atmerpt2/

Everything seems to work and flash to my Arduino Mega pretty well without errors. Yet when I try to use millis() it always returns 0. I can't figure out why this is. When I use the Arduino IDE, millis() of course works but I've been trying to make the switch to AtmelStudio instead. I can't figure out why this would be since the Arduino.h is included and seems to compile. I like the feeling of having a main function back but should I maybe install the Arduino extension? Any help getting this to work would be greatly appreciated.

This topic has a solution.

If you've added libcore.a and you are calling the init then millis should work
