Atmel studio keeps crashing after launching, it shows the home page for fiew seconds and then close with no error returned.

I tried the suggested solutions here (https://www.avrfreaks.net/forum/...). it didnt work

It finally opens after i sapn launch it and then it wdoesnt show devices in device selection when creating new project.

it tried the solution mentionned here(https://www.avrfreaks.net/forum/...). it didnt work.

thanks.

This topic has a solution.

I think there's some command line option to make it log (or maybe it logs anyway?) so you need to find that log to see if it shows the reason why it will not start.

It's #10 in the necromancy thread: https://www.avrfreaks.net/commen...

Now I'm confused:

In the other thread, you wrote:
I am having the same issue with atmel studio 7.0 , it crashes without an error message.

although i tried your suggested solution it fix the issue for me.

regards.

So is it fixed, or isn't it?

hello,

the problem was related to the windows10 version  I am using at work (idk why atmel studio can't run on tht version ) but changing my work setup to windows7 solved the issue.
