Atmel Studio 7 serial monitor / console

Hi guys , I am working on a project in Atmel studio 7.0 , a rfid uid tag reader  and I wonder how can I see if it works or not in atmel , is there any console application where I can print and with wich functions , or something like Arduino serial monitor?

Just use any standard PC terminal that can interact with virtual COM ports like Teraterm, Realterm, Brays Terminal, etc etc.

 

(most people have a personal choice among the well known ones. My own choice would be Teraterm in fact).

In addition to the above s/w mentioned by Cliff, you will also need a USB-TTL serial cable, these usually come in 3.3v or 5v versions, pick one up of both types and tag them so you know which is which...

Note: some may say RS232, this is NOT what your looking for...
