I was not sure how to properly setup timers and event system for a project so I decided to make a short test with an ATtiny Xplained Pro development board. Unfortunately this turned out to be impossible. When I try to export the project I get an "Unable to generate project" error. Interestingly the "View Code" option also generates an error message.

I can save a configuration file, see attached ZIP file.

It seems that I am stuck now. How could I get around these errors?

If I deselect WOB in "COMPONENT SIGNALS" for TIMER_1 then "VIEW CODE" works. Strangely enough, if I then select WOB again I can still "VIEW CODE".

That could be the culprit. I had defined PA5 as output pin and also enabled as timer 1 WOB output. That was by intention, the idea was to be able to switch between WOB and fixed output. If I set PA5 undefined it works. It seems that I will have to perform the pin initialization myself.

It is annoying that Atmel Start just generates incomprehensible error messages.
