Atmel-ICE for AVR/SAM blown Vregulator

Hi,

A powered Hub just blew the vreg on my ICE. Seems to be a 6 pin Syncronous buck regulator about 2 x 2mm. I can see VIN on pin 4 and 5. Pin one to the inductor, not sure about the rest.

Anyone have any clue about this part. I searched for a schematic but no luck.

Replacement a week away but I need to get going asap.

Try removing the buck IC then supplying approx 3Vdc to the buck's inductor.

That looks like it might be a TPS40222 !?!

 

Compare the datasheet schematic to your board.

Hi,

its almost one year ago but I recently had the same problem.

I figured out its a TPS62240. The pinning fits + the datasheed on page 20 says "device marking: BYJ"

The most important, it works.

 

Maybe someone else needs that information to fix a blown ATMEL ICE.
