No there's no such device.

I would guess that you won't even find any ARMs with FireWire. Even Apple is moving away from FireWire with the newer, faster, USB interfaces.

The MINIMUM bit rate for FireWire is 100MBit/sec. That means that the interface probably has to be clocked at a rate several times that. You're not going to get that with a microprocessor. Maybe a programmable logic device of some sort but not a micro.

Not really... all the new Macs feature Firewire-800 ports. Apple does appear to have abandoned firewire-400 though.

Well the Air is, somewhat of, an exception, as it has nearly no ports at all (it was a trade-off for the small size). The Mackbook (non-pro version) also lacks the firewire port (not happy about this one, likely just a marketing decision), but the rest of the Mac line does have them.

Basically any machine they see as possibly being used for video editing has the firewire port. As firewire is faster than USB for streaming data like video.

Not really... all the desktops feature Firewire, but it has disapeared on some MacBooks.

Yes, see my follow-up post... I had forgotten about the Air, and that they dropped the firewire port from the non-pro MacBook.

All of this obscures the original question. And, the basic answer. Minimum bit rate is 100MBps. That means (at least) 12.5MBytes per second. You might be able to keep up with the data with an ARM, but no low-end 8-bit micro. That is assuming that you have an interface capable of 100Mbps. Again, I do not know of any 8-bit micro that can can scream that fast.
