Hallo guys,

I have a problem in a production on a product based on the ATmega48PA.

I had some pieces programmed with an older version of firmware and during a reprogramming with a newer firmware version, some controllers cannot been programmed.

I am using the ISP method.

Does anybody knows why I have this problem ?

Thank you

Michael.

Hello Mario.

- I am using the STK500 for ISP programming
- I am using the AVRStudio Version 4.18 (Build 716)
- The devices are locked for further programming and verification during the last firmware programming

The steps I follow are:
1. Open the AVRSTudio and connect to the STK500
2. I erase each device before programming
3. I write the flash .HEX
4. I write the eeprom .HEX

Some of the devices that was working perfect before the new programming cannot been programmed.

Michael.

After erasing the chip you have to turn the chip's power off and on again to get the new lockbits state (unlocked after erase) in effect.
