Hi , I have a atmega32u4 chip inside a rf module I fly my RC planes with and some reason it stopped talking through its usb connection to the configurator program that edits it profile,

I did manage to re load the bootloader and load the firmware that controls the on-board RF chip

But doing a chip erase looks like it reset the fuse bits and wonder how i go around re flashing and which bit controls the usb communication to the chip ?

cheers

Brett

Your schematic shows a 16MHz xtal, but the BOD fuse is set to 2.6v, what does the datasheet say about safe operating VCC voltage for 16MHz?

What is your VCC voltage?

Hi Jim thanks mate for the reply.

the circuit has a onboard switching reg Vbat is 6-12.6volts and VCC is 5 volts

and what I could understand from the atmega32u4 datasheet it was  (16MHz at 4.5V - Industrial range)

Cheers
