Hello all!

I am new to the forum and i am fairly new to the microcontroller world :)

I set up atmega328p with 20MHz external crystal on my breadboard, connections are all right, i changed the fuse setting in atmel studio 7 to external crystal 8MHz and above but i forgot to uncheck CKDIV8, so my frequency is 2.5MHZ. That alone would not be a problem if I could change it, but it wont read device signature anymore and what is strange to me it can normaly download a program and debug it.

Any ideas where i made mistake and if it could be reversible?

Edit: I forgot to mention i am using atmel-ice, dont know if that matters.

Thanks in advance!

You must have enabled debugWire for debugging, that turns off the ISP. So go back into a debug session and turn off DB from the debug menu.
