Does anyone on this list use one of the abovementioned AT90PWM chips. After getting samples more than a year ago, I am not able to get any information, when and if production quantities will be available.
This is really very annoying!

The same goes for ATtiny15. Used that in medium scale projects, now the chip is unavailable and we are told that it will never be available lead-free. The successors (?) ATtiny25/45 are not available either. Now we have to rewrite the software to work on ATtiny13. Some man-days for nothing.

When will we see the ATmega324/644? I have a project for ~50k/year, where these chips would fit perfectly. They have been announced months ago as being available.

What I have learned from that is, that I will never again use an AVR controller for new projects until the distri tells me that he has at least 'seen' a few thousands of them without an ES stamp.

A somewhat frustrated AVR user,
Jörg.

PS: Admitted, ATmega8/48/88 are available and near perfect regarding price/performance.

We have the same problem, even to get 3 or up to 100 of the PWM3 parts.....

I'm not sure does this help you becouse you live in Germany, but search with Attiny. You'll find attiny15L with both cases, so8 and dil8.
