AT89C52 via STK500
Dust off those log books. Has anyone some guidance on programming the above using the above. I've set-up serial and pulled the BSEL2, but it's not responding.
I don't think the STK500 supports that device. It has limited support for some of the C51 devices, though.
Writing code is like having sex.... make one little mistake, and you're supporting it for life.
AVR tools thinks that it does, but the information ends with program it serially. Well, the literature says 89S52 instead of C52, but I'm hoping that's a typo.

You can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig.
I've never met a pig I didn't like, as long as you have some salt and pepper.
I have another programmer (somewhere) and I'll take that path. Thanks, all
AT89C52 cannot be programmed (I think that it is mask programmed at the factory). AT89S52 can be programmed via ISP.
The AT89S53, AT89S8252 and AT89S8253 are not supported by the STK500 but in theory could be programmed in a similar way to the AT89S52.

Sorry Lee. I never looked.
