Hi Guys,

After reinstalling AS7 after screwing around a bit it appears that the toolchain can no longer be found. I uninstalled all Atmel packages on my PC a few times after seeing this error so try and get a fresh install, but it doesn't seem to help at all.

When trying to open an older AS7 project:

C:\Users\Ryan\Documents\Arm_Projects\App_7\App_7.cproj : error  : Required toolchain is missing or corrupt. Please repair Atmel Studio installation from 'Add or Remove programs'.

If I create a new project I get the following:

I don't currently have any Studio 2015 packages larger than 20MB, is it perhaps that I am missing some of these?

Ryan.

Can you try the following:

1) Go to Run

2) Type %appdata%\Atmel\AtmelStudio\7.0 (Delete the folder)

3) Type %localappdata%\Atmel\AtmelStudio\7.0 (Delete the folder)

4) Start Atmel Studio, if you still get the error.

5) Try https://www.avrfreaks.net/comment...

Thanks.

After updating to AS 7.0.1417 the same error message appeared. The fix in message #2 above worked and a project compiled without errors. There was a warning '"LITTLE_ENDIAN" redefined' from the file endian.h I'll submit a new post for this

Please forgive my ignorance but I have the same problem on Windows 10 64 bit.

What do you mean by go to Run?

Windows Key + R should launch the above command.
