I plan to use a tiny13 to detect gunfire. I can pretty well figure how to do that. Then I want to use that to trigger a game camera.
I would like to interface with the PIR sensor in the camera so I don't have to open it up and hack into it. I have no real idea on alternative ways to trigger this device quickly. First thought is an IR LED, but I'm not sure that would be the right wavelength.
Are there any ideas on how to do this? I have zero experience with these devices.
What it is for is to identify people that are shooting up my for sale signs in a remote location. They are rather expensive to replace.
