Dear freaks,

I need to design a new product that handles 20 separate AC output switces (not dimmers). The characteristics are :

Each output must be able to handle 230Vac or 24Vac loads (valves, motors, relays) with a maximum permanent current of up to 1Amp.

The whole control is based on an AVR, but I need to find the better solution based on price and components availability.

What is your suggestions ?

Michael.

Hello Michael,

Do you mean something like this but handling 20 channels instead of 16?

Wow,  I was going to suggest eitehr relays or, for a little more money, solid state relays.

But I couldn't come close to the price of the board Ross linked to.

If you are not afraid to buy in China, here you can get get cheaper one:

Or You can buy smaller units to put together for 20 channels:

It's a $11. I think that there is no chance to do it yourself for that money.
