Hi there,

I am on the design state of a data logger asing an ATmega64 and also a (my god) data flash from ATMEL AT52BC6402D. My problem is that it is inpossible for me to handle solder and use this type of package (66C7 – CBGA).
My question is that if I could find some kind of socket for this type of package or by the other side if I could find another type of package with the same or near features with this device (64MBit flash + 16Mbit SRAM, parallel, ~3V).

Thank you.

Michael.

Use a hot-air tool. For such a small package a little gas powered torch and some solder paste should yield good results.

You can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig.

I've never met a pig I didn't like, as long as you have some salt and pepper.
