Hello,

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a power supply that could do 6-36V input, 3.3V output, and I want the system to have under 100 uA of quiescent (prefer something under 50 uA for the power supply) current. The current on this 3.3V rail will range from 100 uA to 100 mA.

The problem with using an LDO is that at 36V, the LDO becomes too hot (36-3.3)*100 mA = 3.27W, especially at high ambient temperatures.

I've found a Linear Technology switching power supply that can do 200 uA of quiescent current and handle the input voltage range, but was wondering if anyone had seen a solution with lower quiescent current.

Thanks for any suggestions.

LTC3631 says it has 16ua of quiescent current.

I would have suggested LT. They are good.

Also check LTC3642 (50 mA)

Thanks, those parts look like they will be perfect for my application.
