As I have seen many requests for this in the past I uploaded a serial terminal application with both ASCII and raw binary tx/rx support.

The application and Delphi 5 source code can be downloaded at http://www.opend.co.za/software/....

Thanks Carl.
Sorry about that.
Ive just added SLIP support for both binary and ASCII data.
Some testing needs to be done before the upload but so far it all looks good.

Great terminal. However, seems to be as useful as Windows Terminal. Also there is no note about the licence, is it GPL or what? So basically nobody doing real work can't use this :) Well, perhaps for learning to use serial ports with.. Delphi? Why not plain old C/C++?

For great debugging facilities, implement the features already in RealTerm and Bray's Terminal.

I use this project because the source is available, I know Delphi, and the serial port stuff is nicely encapsulated in 1 drag and drop component.

So If I need to write a test ap, everything goes quickly.
Also the new version includes SLIP encapsulation, which I regularly use.
Ive used Bray but not RealTerm.
Neither are open source But I must say, RealTerm looks great.

RealTerm has a serious bug with binaries - it purges 0x1A bytes (control-Z) from file transfers in both directions.

@Peret
RE byte purging Thats a real shame.
So here comes my terminal version 20060418.
Main added freature : File transfer (I tested it, is sends all bytes).
Get it at http://www.opend.co.za/

Fixed now.
