Hi,

Im looking for a DC to DC converter that will have a maximum input voltage of about 90V DC and an output of 12V. does anybody have any ideas?

please keep in mind that I need to draw about 4A from this converter.

the micrel MIC28500 chip was incredibly close but its maximum voltage is 75V, and I can not go above 76V. I need atleast 82V input voltage.

any help in the matter will be much appreciated.

kind regards

Define first what DC/DC topology are you going to follow and then look at the catalog of Power integrations www.powerint.com

At Switching Regulator (Linear Technology) enter for columns labelled Vin Max (V) ">=90" and for Switch Current (A) ">=8".
Looks like three possibilities in buck regulators.

Yep; lots of choices in DC-DC there.
On Semiconductor and many others have similar products.

so many choices, I put an order through for an LTC3810, the typical circuit shows a perfect application circuit for my application
