Hello, it's been a while but I was previously using Studio 4 with STK500.

I just installed Studio 6.1 and am trying to get familiar with it.

I am starting with an ATTiny85 chip.

When I select "New Project", I do not see anything related to STK500, so I am not sure how I am supposed to begin my project.

I have located the Tools > Add Target menu and was able to add STK500 at COM4 there. I then went to View > Available Atmel Tools and I see "STK500 (COM4) Program only" listed. I right clicked that and selected "Device Programming" which gave me a menu in which I chose STK500 as the Tool, ATTiny85 as the Device, and ISP.

I am able to Read the device and Programmer Info, so that seems okay. I am just not sure about the Project settings at this point.

Thanks.

Have a readthrough in the manual. The Getting started part is for just creating a project. The project management is about how projects are managed and configured, and the Debugging chapter is for debugging and programming (note this as well, you do not need the programming dialog to do programming).
