I am using the ATMega103. I would like general AVR roadmap information and specifically I would like to know if the AVR parts will be able to reprogram themselves in the future.

Hi Mark,

Unfortunately, we are not in a position to give any detailed roadmap information. We can, however, say that reprogramming is considered a very important feature by Atmel.

Hi Mark,

I'm using a second AVR (2313) that can program (serial) the "main AVR processor". An extra advantage is that the 2313 is also working as a network processor and relieve the main processor. If you look at www.atmel.com you can see that atmel has a Mega AVR that can reprogram itself but is has 16Kb Flash instead of 128Kb.

Greetings,
Robert
