Once the RCen on a 1200 has been programed, Can it be reset. Yes I know that only through parallel mode can this bit be changed. But can it be changed back once changed. and if so when the 1200 enters programing mode and has the rcen set,programed,"0" can you use the xtal1 pin to clock the chip to reprogram it or do you have to rely on the internal osc while in programing mode until the rcen bit is erased/unprogramed/1.

Certainly the RC can be set and reset indefinitely. It's just a flash fuse bit. I designed a simple LPT programmer to do just that- it was featured in Elektor Magazine's design competition in 1997-98.
Basically the 1200 stays in the state it entered the programming mode until you toggle the power.
