Hello all!

I admit it's been a long time since I've been here... doing a lot of non-AVR projects in the past few years!

But I thought I'd share something I did recently. Over the summer I was teaching a digital logic course, and designed this trainer board:

It has a CPLD mounted on the backside. It's a little like the Digilent Inc boards, except with a few extra features (mainly breadboard) that make it suitable for classroom. Plus has a simple template so you can use schematic entry without really understanding about PLD devices. There is a video on the Kickstarter Page.

Hope you enjoy it! The documentation is all Creative-Commons (e.g. tutorials), and software in the AVR is open-source, so might be a useful reference for anyone doing something similar.

Backed. Good to see you're still at it. But now I feel old, I remember when we met at an Atmel seminar in Toronto, and you were so young then.

Thanks for the kind words Glitch - yes it's been some time indeed!

I haven't made one of those Atmel seminars for a while now, unfortunately I haven't been back in Toronto when they are going on.

Thanks for backing too - and don't worry you shouldn't need to teach too much, they are designed to be "student-friendly". This includes students who don't really care, so anyone who is actually interested in this stuff will have no trouble ;-)

heh, I don't mind teaching... in fact I spend most of my time at the hackerspace teaching/helping people with their projects instead of working on my own.
