Of course he really should be using resistors with those LEDs ;)
The switches, themselves, are bogus.
The are wires connected to only one tab of each switch. The other tab just hangs there.
There is far too much hidden to even guess what is happing. Not worth the effort.

Reading the comments under video it seems there is a lot of induction involved. Talk of the LEDs being machined out to house a coil etc. All that is needed in the paper is thin wires.

Interesting to watch.
If one micro-machined the interior of the LEDs and put a coil and driver inside the LED case they would have to be very small.
I have a hard time imagining the field strength need to induce an adequate current in a micro sized coil to power the LED.
