Tried the suggestions in the sticky but no luck. I accidentally deleted vmm32.vxd so had to reload win 98. No problem there, everyting came back on my desktop as it was. But now avrstudio4 won't connect to my avrispmkii. Jungo is there in device manager with no !.
Anyone have any suggestions/fix ?
TIA

Unless your version of Studio is pretty old (v4.16) win 98 in not supported.

Don't know if newer version of the driver will still work with win 98.

Just to clarify.. its Version 4.15 build 623 and before my 'error', AVRISP Mk11 worked fine.

I don't remember much about win 98 now (and many other things... :? ) but does the programmer appear in the device manager when you plug it in?

But it would come with the re-installation of AVR Studio. I think there was a checkbox to install it.

Did you reinstall Studio 4.15? If you no longer have the file it is still available in the Atmel archive.

You may even want to go ultra modern and install the latest/last win98 compatible version 4.16.

I think 4.15 was on of those version which gave me headaches.

I have it in my "personal archive" but don't have a win 98 machine around to find things out. :-)
