Hi freaks,

i just applied the new patch 2 (build 1882) to Studio 6. After restart the watch window(quick watch and tooltip watch as well) don't display any infomation about structs anymore.
When i try to fold out the tooltip it says "Children could not be evaluated".
In the watch window after clicking onto the "+" the "+" sign just disappears...

Most funnily it's working in the "Locals" watch window :D

By the way...
is there any way to get rid of the patch?

Cheers
Holger

In Add/Remove programs there should be an option on the top bar to select updates. I would assume (not having a windows computer near me atm) that patch2 should be listed when this is active

Seems that I spoke too soon, the solution seems to be to remove atmel studio and then reinstall...

Hi Morten,
thanks for the hint, good idea.

Unfortunatly it turns out there's no update listed for Atmel studio or any Atmel software.
Also if i start the Studio setup with the Change button, the only options i get are repair and remove - change has only one checkbox, "Default ...", wich i obviously would not want to deselect.

It seems with the exception of Acrobat Reader Microsoft is the only company that makes use of this update feature, judging from my quite crowded software control.

Yes... It seems that this is a shortcoming with the current installer we use.

I reported this bug on the 16th:

I like cats, too. Let's exchange recipes.

Hi ninevoltz9,

thanks for the pointer, i added my bits of information there. Let's hope the devs at Atmel get this sorted out quickly.

I'm seeing this issue, but only on *some* of the global variables in the watch window. When I "Check for Updates" Studio 6 reports there is a newer version and then points back to service pack 1, which I'm about to install. Does anyone know if and when a service pack 3 will be released?
