Hi,

I am willing to create an interactive menu system on avr. As in parent-child relationship between options. For instance say :

Main Screen:-
1. Configure Led
2. Configure Switch
3. ....

If user selects 1, a sub-menu opens :
1. A
2. B
3. .....
and so on

Choice of AVR is not of a concern. I am more interested in the design part.
Are there any ready tools/library which can be customized/configured and adapted for this purpose?

Thanks

See also Dean's tutorial about PROGMEM in Tutorial Forum. As an example he considers a flash based menuing system.

Thanks hane, but I had seen that doc. Not of much use.

Thanks clawson, but that tutorial just contains 3 menu items. I am thinking more of parent child types, with function pointers & callbacks. I know I should make it myself, but just exploring if something similar is out there.

If you have noticed, some development boards (like mini2440) have similar options. You can erase the kernel, erase some memory block, select some options, run some test codes. I just want to knw how to implement the menu system.

Thanks
