It arrived yesterday 31 January 2012 after exchanging 47 emails with the store, we sent them lots of emails they only replied maybe 3 times.

You make a foreign order on a Friday and inclusive over sea shipping and delay because of foreign holidays it takes 11 days. So what's the deal? Do you know how long it sometimes takes in western countries when you order between xmas and new year?

My sympathy for the Atmel store agents that stay calm after 47 emails.

I ordered an EVK1104 off of Atmel's site, and it took a while to get here. Kind of frustrating, but I didn't realize it was shipping from Malaysia. In the future I'd probably order things like that from a domestic electronics distributor (for instance, I've since found that Mouser carries a small number EVK1104 boards at any one time).

It is easy to say what is the big deal when it is not YOUR item that YOU want delivered as promised.

Believe me, I have waited for many deliveries. E.g. I am getting angry when in a domestic shipment after the delivery confirmation I wait for 5-6 days, and there is no delivery. That is something I can understand. Or when the delivery man gives the parcel to neighbors and forgets to put a message in my postbox.

But when it comes overseas shipment, I had often small delays, especially with customs. I assume 8-10 days as normal for oversea deliveries.

But when we should continue to debate over this topic, we might ask a moderator to put this thread to "Off-topic" :)
