There's a base price for all shipments, so ordering more kits at the same time will reduce shipping cost/kit.

Shipping for one (to me) was $19, for two $24. Always being willing to jump to conclusions, I'll say $14 plus $5 per kit to the U.S. YMMV.

Sure, Jay. Just send me your American Express Card number, and I'll personally deliver the kits in my new Lexus.

WHOOP!!!! (Keeping an eye out for the postman!)
Thanks a lot :)

In fact, in preparation, I've already bought 3 of these chips in the 40PDIP format and have already programmed several 'idea's :)

Yeah I know, I'm a sucker for a freebee :) :) :)

Just opened mine after it was delivered a little earlier today.

Looking forward to spending some time working with the ATmega1284P.

Looking forward to playing with the AT32UC3B1256 too.

Thank you very much eiriksle.

Mine arrived too, although it wasn't one of the freebies. It's a cute little thing, and got here quite a bit faster than I expected.

Thank you Atmel and eiriksle for this gift.

I've watched the video on the first post and saw the board being powered without the power measurement jumper in place yet the docs suggest it should not be done because of some possible damage. Though the jumper does magically appear during the demo.

Again thanks.

You have an eye for details digitool ;)

Yes, that's true, the jumper (or an Amper meter) should always be connected when the kit is powered. If it's not there's a chance that the ATmega1284P is powered through one of its I/O pins (connected to the AT32UC3B1256) and latch-up might occur.

Eirik,

Mine arrive today!

Thank you very much, I appreciate it and will put it to good use.

I was happy to see it had mounting holes, too! A bonus!

Larry, PM me your address and I'll drop one in the mail to you tonight. I'm leaving for Portland tomorrow morning for a few days but won't have time to stop in Seattle on the way through.

To be able to continously improve our evaluation kit offering it would be nice to hear what you guys think about the MEGA-1284P Xplained kit.

What's good about the kit? What could have been done better? How is this kit compared to our competitors offering?

All feedback is highly appreciated :)

Eirik

I think that the only drawback to the kit is that they were only given to the first 20 posters in this thread, rather than the first 21... 8)
