I have tried simulate my GCC program for Mega168 /F9.6MHz, no optimization, in Simulator2 - AVR Sudio 4 and in Simulator - AVR Studio 5. There are small different numbers in time on Stop Watch and on Cycle Counter. What is mean? - different compiler, different simulator... What is right? For my program is right timing critical.

Are you simulating the exact same binary, and not source code? The compiler included with AS5 is a newer version than the one included in other avr-gcc packages, which may cause slightly different code to be produced.

I am simulating source code. I will have to make some test new compiler
