Hi,
Do anyone now howto upgrade avr32studio 2.5 with the latest software framework? Currently it ships with 1.6... I would like to get the latest lwip fixes... Or is there maybe a new AVR32 studio release coming up shortly with this included?

I tried a wild shot and replaced the framework/1.6.0 folder inside avrstudio with a downloaded 1.7 but that didn't work of course...

There is an application note describing how you can use a standalone framework with AVR32 Studio, it requires some "wiring", but is quite strait forward. See appnote AVR32769: How to Compile the standalone AVR UC3 Software Framework in AVR32 Studio V2.

Why is version 1.6 included with the AVR32 installation and not version 1.7?

Because v1.7 was ready after the software framework was integrated into AVR32 Studio?

SF v1.7 should come in the next Studio 2.6 somewhere in June.

Why does the updater not allow an upgrade to 1.7.0? It just tells me there's nothing to upgrade.

The software framework must be packaged especially for the IDE so that the latter is able to generate example projects etc. So even though the standalone version of the framework has been released you will have to wait for the IDE update. As mentioned by sma it will released this month.

We're somewhere in June. Hope they release it one of these days cause it would sure suck to wait another year  .

I need that wifi example for the EVK1101 UC3B working.

A beta of AVR32 Studio 2.6 including software framework 1.7 is now available from http://www.atmel.no/beta_ware. Note that as of this release, the AVR32 Toolchain (and utilities) are included as plug-ins to the IDE. There is no need to install the AVR32 Toolchain separately.

Please read the release notes prior to using the software. http://distribute.atmel.no/tools...
