Hi All,

I'm looking to add 'ZigBee-like' functionality but without all the ZigBee overheads. It really just needs to be able to create and mangage a star topology with routers to extend it, very much like the Jennic JenNet stuff.

Problem with open source ZigBee stacks is they are open source so they can easily be compiled, but arenot available for commercial free use and usually require some kind of licensing (even become a member of the ZigBee Alliance).

So what I'm really looking for is JenNet type functionality using open source, free to use firmware targeting the RFM12B radio module, using CV as the compiler and an AVR.

Anyone have any thoughts?

Thanks!

Mark.

TI has something called SimpliciTI for their wireless chips:
