It's really wierd but my tiny45 just refuses to debug.
I can program it in ISP mode, and enable DW fuse. from there it refuses to cooperate but HVSP allows me to turn off the DW fuse again.
Sometimes avrstudio just fails connecting to it, other times it sais device 0x9106 unknown. It's odd because it should be 0x9206.
Other times like today, it usually fails but once in a while it seems to start programming and the round indicator thinky gets a flashing center that turns red. Then it prints in the log that it fails and returns to editor mode.
I grabbed the following traces showing two sections of the process. First there is a short burst after the initial reset. After this there is a small burst that I have seen two different versions of so far.
009.TIF is the first section that is always identical.
010.TIF is the second section, short version.
012.TIF is the second section, a bit longer version. I think it gets a tad further before giving up here.
The setup is a bare STK500 with 5v VTARGET and normal setup linking AUX reset and XT1 to PORTB so I can use ISP on SPROG1 or connect the DW there. I disconnect the RESET jumper and such.
It behaves the same on a bare target board with only chip, power and DW attached. Is this just comms issues due to poor driving from the MKII or is there more at foot?
