Gentlemen,

I picked up a cheap Full bridge driver with the intent to use it as a unipolar stepper motor driver. (the one with 6 wires).

I am writing because I got the thing working, but the stepper motor is very jittery when I try to put it through full rotations and the current pull seems all over the place. I am trying various stepping scenarios with different delays between steps (averaging about 10ms), but like I said, its weird behavior.

I am wondering if its the Full bridge driver. The part number is TA8428K(S).

Thanks for your time,
-Ben

How have you connected them?

Well, this controller just states 'output 1 and inverted output 1'. I assumed these went to either sides of the same coil in the stepper motor. I am using 2 of these drivers, one for each coil. Am I wrong in thinking that?

How did you connect it? Did you leave the commons unconnected? If you got one pole wired that way and the other pole wire some other way, I'm sure things could get odd.
