After a build with IAR 3.34b i have got the following error:

Linking...
Warning[w32]: Format option set more than once.Using xcoff78k format
Error[e72]:Segment IXRAM must be defined in a segment definition option (-Z,-b or -p)

At the .XCL file, i have the following line:

-Z(DATA)IXRAM1=E000-F7EF

!!! Any ideas ? !!!

I don't know IAR, but perhaps it's got something to do with specifying IXRAM1 instead of IXRAM ?

xcoff78k sounds suspicious. Where did you get you XCL file from? What options have you set for the output format of the linker?

thank you, i have solved my problem.

the warning was a conflict between IAR settings and xcl file
and the error was IXRAM not IXRAM1 as "gpeltenburg" said
