i need ready-made various sensors like temperature, humidity, water lever... i would like them to use the zigbee protocol to make a mesh network of sensors..
do you know any ready-for-market solutions??
thank you very much
Not directly, but the Zigbee Pro radios have built-in ADC and I/O pins. Perhaps they'll interface nicely with your chosen sensor.
Edit: that should be the XBee Pro radios.
Not directly, but Omega www.omega.com has come out with a series of wireless sensors, receivers, and the like. Some have incorporated sensing such as temperature; some are "generic" with A/D and/or logic inputs.
But IIRC they are not Zigbee.
[Find the recent Zigbee thread with the discussion about the "legs" of Zigbee for this type of app, versus alternatives.]
You can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig.
I've never met a pig I didn't like, as long as you have some salt and pepper.
Hmmm... would you have a link to that thread, Lee? I haven't seen it, but would be quite interested.
PS: The pig should have rimless glasses. :D
I guess there really wasn't much "discussion"; it was stevech's entry in
Kosta the Great,
I know that Olympia Electronics has started a project of building smoke, CO and other dangerous gas sensors. If the quantity of sensors you need is big enough and also the dead line of your needs is a little bit far from now, I believe that people there would like to have a conversation with you.
If you are from Greece (as your name shows), call me tomorrow at my office (+30 23530 51200 Int. 59), so I can provide you with informations or even to connect you direct with the marketing dept. of Olympia Electronics.
